2 Things You Must Do To Make Money Online

Many training courses and books have been written about how to make money online.  In this home business article I want to highlight a couple of things to keep in mind that you must do when it comes to making money on the Internet.

1. The first point I want to make is that the majority of the time that you spend online every day should be devoted to marketing your home business.   To take this point one step further I would say that you should spend a good portion of your time every day blogging.

Search engines love blogs with fresh content and so do readers. There are many training resources available online that can teach you how to blog successfully.  For example ProBlogger.Net is one of the best websites online for teaching people how to blog.

I class this as an authority site mainly because the amount of content available to you but also because of the quality of that content which I think is outstanding.  Other successful bloggers hang out on this site so you can learn everything you need to make money online as a blogger.

Writing about things you enjoy in your own niche will allow you to make money.  It also allows you to generate a tremendous amount of free traffic over a long period of time. Hence achieving high traffic with a quality blog is an excellent way to sell products, sell advertising, and make money.

2. Be careful when starting a home business on the Internet about the advice that you accept.  It is very easy for a person to call themselves an expert with very little knowledge and take money from people who know nothing about the Internet or starting a business from home.   These people give the Industry a bad name and I would suggest you do your research and check out credentials and testimonials from anyone offering get rich quick schemes.

I see this happen all the time when someone makes a couple of sales and then decides that the market they are going to target is the how to make money market.

I must stress that there is absolutely nothing wrong with being in this market if you do know what you're talking about as you can become a valuable mentor to others.  However, if you are an Internet marketing newbie yourself you need to be cautious about accepting advice from someone who does not have the credentials to back it up.

If you are unsure about someone's credentials then I suggest you go to various Internet marketing forums and ask about them. For example you can go to the Warrior Forum and quickly find out whether someone is legitimate or not.

Social networking is also an excellent way to make friends and see for yourself who is a good and reliable person to follow the advice of. One place to do this is with Twitter.com where you can build up a list of followers and watch their updates.

To summarise the points above, if you are serious about making money on the Internet then these are just two things you should think about before you start a home business.  Watch out who you accept advice from, learn how to blog, and become an expert at it.
